hey say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but Britney Lee Speckert is flipping the script. She’s here to remind us that beauty is in the body you own, and she’s embracing hers unapologetically. At 20 (soon to be 21!), Britney is a delightful cocktail of Swiss and British-Canadian heritage, a “bare-face baby” who’s got the kind of effortless glow we all dream of—and no, it’s not from hours of contouring or lash extensions. It’s from sheer self-love and a little bit of coconut oil on the lashes.

Hailing from the majestic mountains of Lake Tahoe, Britney’s upbringing sounds like something out of a nature-infused daydream. Hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and basically channeling her inner action hero by conquering the outdoors, Britney grew up with dirt under her nails and snow on her boots. This rugged childhood didn’t always align with society’s idea of “pretty,” but now she’s reclaiming that narrative with every confident curve.

“It’s important to feel sexy in your own body, because that’s your power,”

Britney says, and you better believe she means it. For Britney, sexiness doesn’t come from makeup or perfectly coiffed hair. It’s about owning your body as it is—hips, curves, cellulite, and all.

But let’s not sugarcoat it—Britney’s journey wasn’t a straight line to self-love. "I wanted to be skinny and straight," she admits, recalling a time when her unique body shape didn’t feel like the asset it is today. Growing up as “the taller girl” with boys as her primary role models, Britney faced her fair share of body-image battles. A Girl Scout experience (complete with mean moms, no less!) led her to internalize society’s unrealistic beauty standards. But here’s the kicker—she flipped the script.

Enter SundayMorningView, the magazine that showcases natural, unedited beauty, and suddenly Britney found herself starring in a makeup-free photoshoot that made her feel, in her own words, “free.” No filters, no frills—just raw, authentic, her. And guess what? She loved it.

"Working out is only 20%; 80% is what you eat," Britney proclaims, diving into her health routine with the precision of someone who treats their body like a temple but isn't afraid to sneak in a burger or two. Her diet is a mix of lean meats and vegan delights when she's in the mood, because, as Britney wisely notes, "Life is short. Enjoy yourself."

And when it comes to physical activities, this mountain girl is all about staying connected to nature. From hiking the peaks of Lake Tahoe to the serene vibes of yoga festivals, Britney finds her zen in movement. Forget the gym—Britney’s workout plan involves chasing nature’s highs and throwing in a little namaste.

But perhaps the most powerful part of Britney’s story is her candidness about her struggles with body image. “Growing up, I compared myself to others," she shares, and let’s be honest—haven’t we all? Britney’s transparency about the bullying she faced, the toxic rumors, and the constant self-critique resonates. In a world where Instagram filters and photoshopped perfection reign, Britney’s message is one we all need to hear:

"Real human bodies aren’t perfect, but they are all beautiful."

Her advice? Stop being your own worst critic. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, celebrate what you do. Compliment yourself daily, because confidence is contagious, and you deserve to be your own biggest fan. Britney is living proof that when you embrace your unique beauty, no one can take that power away from you.

In an industry where “perfect” often feels synonymous with impossible, Britney’s journey of self-acceptance is a breath of fresh, mountain air. She’s not striving to be someone else’s version of beautiful—she’s her own masterpiece, curves and all. And her message to women everywhere is simple: You are your own unique being.

We’re ready for round two with Britney, and something tells us she’ll be glowing even brighter next time.
